Hotel Eldorado VIII

This photo reminds me of the old Longs Hospital building (Statesville, NC). My grandfather ran the clothes closet for the Civitans up on the abandoned 3rd floor, and I had the run of the place. All the rooms were packed full of clothes and shoes of every description - including the round tiled operation room - and everything reeked of mold and ancient disinfectant. A couple of padlocked rooms were piled full of discarded library books...
I used to roll myself up and down the long hall in an old wicker backed wheelchair...

Sorry for the blabber. This photo suddenly brought all of that back to me
