The most beautiful abandoned structure I have ever seen!
This was the LDS ward house of Ovid until July 2, 1967 (the Ovid Ward merged with the Liberty Ward so the building was closed). It was built in 1896 at the cost of $3000 with local materials by local carpenters. The central bell tower was struck by lightning and removed in 1904.
that is a very beautiful old structure. Wicked shot, I know alot of the old buildings around here usually get destroyed in winter under the weight of the snow

I capture Light, I just happen to have something beautiful infront of it
Looks like whoever owns the property keeps up with it. The grass was recently cut. I hear ya about the snow, the downfall of many old buildings...In my neighborhood developers can't wait to tear down the old to put up something new, the weather doesn't have a chance...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
